3 POINTS TO A FULFILLING LIFE, THE GOD'S WAY

Have you ever wondered why God decided to create the world & Man when He already had the Heavens and Angels? Unarguably, there are no words weighty enough to describe the beauty of Heaven. Its splendor and magnificence transcends all understanding. Its tranquil atmosphere is awash with an ever joyful worship mood where pain, sorrow and death are eternally defied. An impeccable ageless abode of terrestrial beings where infinite perfection abound in immeasurable quantum. It then beats me hollow; I mean beyond comprehension why God made that move to work for six days putting together another orbit for man.

So, what suggestions can one probably come up with to fill the gaps why God created another human existence - a new world?

Wasn't He satisfied with the heavens? Was He bored with the monotony there, if there was any? Was there another uprising from the Angels after Lucifer was thrown out for rebellion? Was His leadership being undermined or was He losing grips on control? What exactly would make Him create a new world if something wasn't amiss?
When these questions hit me after a morning meditation, I couldn't stop pondering about it until a tornado of answers came swishing like a powerful wind before a heavy downpour. I immediately took up my pen and started jotting down points.

1. GOD DOESN'T REST ON HIS OARS:
The breathtaking architectural masterpiece called Heaven is more than mere success. It is a paragon of aesthetic excellence; an achievement worthy enough to attract complacency, indulgence, boastfulness or pride from the Creator. But rather than get swollen-headed or allow Himself to be carried away with the feat, God pushed Himself to further exploits. He felt there was much more to be done and achieved. He kept thinking out of the box and innovating. Little wonder the bible says "Our God does not sleep, neither does He slumber." The quote simply buttresses the fact that God moves from one achievement to another; from laurels to laurels.

Lesson: Taking a cue from God, we must understand that we need to push ourselves beyond our present successes or comfort zones in our businesses and daily life. We need to begin to consider pushing ourselves beyond our own edge; and if falling over the cliff is the way we are able to break the boundary and get on to new horizons, it is worth giving it a try.

2. GOD SEES & TAKES OPPORTUNITIES:
"The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep." - Genesis 1: 2.
The above quotation from the bible clearly indicates that opportunities do not come with their values stamped upon them, the reason we often miss them when they show up. With the unpleasant state of the earth, one would have expected God not to be aware of its usefulness or to simply overlook it as a spatial waste. Many of us would have done that anyway, but God saw an opportunity in that ugly situation. He saw enough space for another habitation. Beneath its chaotic climate He saw an atmosphere good for sustenance of life. He saw light amidst it darkness. And He proceeded to use these hidden opportunities to create a wonderful dwelling for you and I - the universe.

Lesson: Opportunity can be defined as a 'situation or condition favourable for attaining a goal.' Just as God did, we must learn to take action when opportunities pass our way and grasp hold of them with speed. We must welcome them as if it's the last one we'll ever have, no matter how small they may seem, as they could lead to something very significant in the long term. Being able to take advantage of as many opportunities as possible is important. Sometimes just one opportunity can mean the difference between an extraordinary life and a mediocre one.

3. GOD IS A SOLUTION FINDER:
"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth." - Genesis 1 vs 26.
The transformation of a hollow terrain into a beautiful earth didn't come without its own challenge. With the creation of the earth, the beasts, animals etc after 5 days, God discovered the job wasn't completed yet. Who or what was to utilize and rule the project called Earth? God saw this new predicament. He realized he had to do something fast. A solution to this realization must be reached, and quickly too. God immediately summoned His angels, sought their opinion as a good leader and team player. Unanimously, they reached a decision that man must be created to take charge of Earth. And He promptly provided that solution –Adam.

Lesson: We all complain. Even if you argue that you are the happiest person alive, you still complain sometimes. Sometimes we complain without even realizing it, but rarely is it ever helpful. When we avoid complaining and whining about problems and obstacles (they are an integral part of life anyway), only then can we be able to wear our thinking caps. It is paramount we emulate God, if we must make a headway in life or business. We must learn to look beyond problems and seek for solutions.
Solution finders are leaders who have reached a point where they do not accept the status quo or go with the crowd. They ask the right questions, take action, drive forward and make change happen where others see obstacles. They achieve what they want to be, and help others. They live a purpose driven life. Today, resolve not to be part of the problem but to lead and find solutions. You will grow in so many ways and others will look up to you.

As I rest on my writing now but not on my oars, I say to you too Never Rest on Your Oars, Take Opportunities and Be a Solution Finder, just as our Creator did; for we were created in His image. Have a fulfilling life.
