RCCG: A NEW GENERAL OVERSEER (G.O) ANOINTED BY PASTOR ADEBOYE?

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) was founded in 1952 by Rev. Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi. He passed on to glory on Nov 2, 1980.


In 1981, the mantle of leadership was passed on to Enoch Adejare Adeboye from the academia, as the successor. The church had 40 parishes when Pastor Adeboye took over. Now, RCCG has become the fastest growing Pentecostal church in the world.

G.O. Pastor Adeboye, today, has taken it one step further alongside the church to declare his successor as Pastor J.O. Obayemi, who was a deputy in charge of Finance and a member of governing council.
